Strategic Maintenance Planning (SMP) is a process formulated by King North Building Sciences, to develop a site specific or whole portfolio strategy, for addressing the long-term maintenance needs of the building envelope for the client. King North Building Sciences conducts wall and roof consulting services, by way of due diligence inspections and condition assessments. SMP takes the basic information revealed in the due diligence inspection, or condition assessment, and assesses client needs, for long-term & short-term use of the asset, including both maintenance and capital funding requirements. King North Building Sciences completes the basic engineering studies and presents the client with recommendations for addressing issues in regards to the building envelope (Walls, Roof, etc.). This strategic planning system benefits any sized portfolio - from a single building to multiple buildings.
